    Mayor Mtolo join the construction team in renovating the Bhongweni Skills Centre which will develop the much needed skills required to build the economy of GKM. The focus will be on woman and youth with the hope of entering them into the opportunities presented by the NDP programme of our Government.

    The Facelift of Town Hall with inclusion of Council Chamber but still maintaining initial look. Originally built as a town hall n 1901 the building has been given a facelift and provided with new network and IT infrastructure to add that modern touch.

    Ward 8 Community hall will soon be added to the list of projects delivered by GKM in an endeavor to uplift the lives of the people. The hall will see many programmes and engagements which will be conducted by the Municipality and the public.

    ADAM KOK III HONOURED

    75 Hope Street Municipal Building to be renamed from GF Heyns to Adam Kok III in honour of Griquas who first settled in this area in 1863. Adam Kok III (16 October 1811 - 30 December 1875) was a leader of the Griqua people in South Africa.

Our country and the world at large face various challenges which are a spin of from the economic melt down, with this mind we call all our people to participate fully in the governing of our town as we climb the hill towards a better for life for all.
