Administrative & Customer Care

The Administrative and customer care division is crucial to the effectiveness of the functioning and compliance of the Municipality in terms of Council structures. The division is headed by a Manager and renders the following functions:

  • secretariat function to Council and all Section 79 Committees. It is responsible for the drafting, distribution and filing of the agenda, minutes and all documents pertaining to meetings of the various committees;
  • ensures the protection of Council records and the implementation of the Archives Act and all relevant legislation;
  • develops policies and by-laws pertaining to the function;
  • builds platforms for service delivery improvement which includes the:
  • drafting of the Service Delivery Improvement Plan and Service Delivery Charter/s,
  • implementation of Batho Pele;
  • development of interventions to ensure professional service delivery;
  • development and implementation of other customer care programmes.
